Word has been received of the death of Irene GILLILAND, 79, Dec 6 at Lafayette after a long illness. A former Waveland and Crawfordsville resident, she was a member of Waveland Christian Church. Mrs. Gilliland was born June 21, 1906 a daughter of Edward and Minnie SURBER. She was married to James t. GILLILAND at Lafayette who survives. Also surviving are two children: Lemoyne Gilliland SENASAC of Lafayette and James Dale Gilliland of Los Angeles, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Wayne (Teresa) Simms of Waveland; five grandchildren and a great grandchild. Burial was in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, Lafayette. Hippensteel Funeral Home at Lafayette was in charge of the arrangements. - kbz
